Safety in Action 2017

Year 6 visited Devonshire Park and took part in this year’s Safety in Action event. They learnt how to stay safe around fire, water, electricity, strangers and hazards. Each team was awarded points out of 20 for each section with Heron park children scoring 20 in many of the challenges!


Junior Enterprise Challenge

On Monday 9th October we sent four children to take part in the Junior Enterprise Challenge. They performed amazingly well against many other schools and came up with some fantastic ideas. We are all very proud of them.


The Blue Reef Aquarium

Year 1 had a wonderful day out at The Blue Reef Aquarium in Hastings on Tuesday. The staff were very impressed with the children’s knowledge on the fish and their behaviour! Well done guys! 


Downlands in Bloom 2017

Some of our Year 4 children took part in a local competition to design a flower bed for an area at Holywell in Eastbourne. We won! Our winning entry was revealed today. You can view the flowerbed at Holywell just above the Holywell Tearooms.


London Trip 2017

Herstmonceux Science Centre

Year 4 enjoyed a brilliant day out at Herstmonceux Science Centre. The weather was kind all be it a little cold!


KS1 Football Festival

KS1 took part in a Football Festival run by Sussex Downs College. Even though it was cold, the children had a wonderful morning!


Year 6 Portsmouth trip

Year 6 enjoyed a fantastic trip to Portsmouth yesterday, they walked around The Victory and took a boat ride across the harbour. Thankfully the weather was kind!


The Super Herons are the Junior Enterprize Winners!

Mrs Walker took 6 Year 4 children to Eastbourne Congress Suite to participate in this years Junior Enterprise Challenge. They had to design a toiletries tray that a Hotel in Eastbourne would use. Autumn Walk

Our Year 1 and Year 3 children enjoyed a walk to Hampden Park this week They hunted in the woods and around the park for all things in nature that represent Autumn.
